Practical matters

A Solis-ID is needed to provide access to Osiris and Blackboard. If you work at the Faculty of Science or Veterinary Sciences, you automatically receive a Solis-ID and password when you are appointed at the university. If you work at UMCU, you can arrange a Solis-ID for teachers.

More information about how to apply for a Solis-ID can be found here in English and here in Dutch.

You can login with your Solid-ID and password via uu.blackboard.com. There are also user manuals available on how to use Blackboard.

Depending on the faculty where the course will be taught you can contact:

The course coordinator can apply for teaching rooms via the application form. Note: There are timeslots used for booking a room. The timeslot model can be found here.

To have an efficient schedule procedure, it is important to meet the deadlines. The schedule procedure is divided in 4 educational periodes of 10 - 19 weeks and each period has its own application deadline. More general information about the schedule proces can be found here (only in Dutch).

Around December, the programme coordinator provides the scheduler of the faculty of Science an overview of the courses that will be offered in the next academic year. The scheduler of the faculty of Science will contact each course coordinator to submit the schedule of the course together with the content for the Osiris catalogue. A suitable schedule will be made and communicated to the course coordinator. The schedule of courses of the first semester will be complete at the end of July, the schedule of the courses of the second semester will be complete at the beginning of January.

The contact person for Biosciences is Hans Luijendijk.
